Glucose homeostasis
To sustained the homeostasis the liver is an important key to this process. As you digest your food your liver consumes the glucose and stores it as glycogen. Glycogen is also found in other parts of the body like a low concentration in our muscles. Glycogen is essential for the glucose cycle when you're under extreme stress or very hungry your body uses the stored glycogen as energy for the cells. When you are starving you are body is trying to keep your energy up. Your body sends the stored glycogen to act like a substitute until your next meal. Our body is trying to avoid shutting down so the glycogen is important to have.

PAncreas
The pancreas is a major organ in the body. This is where our insulin is produced and float around the body to unlock the cells. The pancreas maintains homeostasis by making sure its enzymes break down the food to create insulin. The pancreas should know how much insulin to produce. The pancreas makes sure that we have enough insulin to get energy for our cells so we can maintain good body sugar. Without the pancreas our body would not be able to keep the glucose levels up.
